This stone, not a stock one
The gem beside this text is not a photograph and not a video. It is built from the proportions recorded against this piece and traced facet by facet, so the light coming back out of it is the light this geometry actually returns.
Cut is the one variable a photograph cannot show and the one that costs the most. A stone a degree shallow in the pavilion leaks light through its own back and goes dull in the hand, which is exactly the thing a retouched product shot hides.

Actually this big
The circle is the girdle of the stone at 5.80 mm; the finished piece measures 11.60 mm across. If you have set your screen against a bank card, this is life size. If you have not, it is the browser's guess of 96 pixels to the inch — and it is almost certainly wrong.
A border adds 2.9mm to the width of the head and, at a normal viewing distance, about a carat to the apparent size of the stone. We say so plainly rather than letting the photograph do the arguing.
The border stones are set into a single cut rail rather than into sixteen individual collets. It takes a day longer and it means the sixteen tops sit at one height; a border set collet by collet almost always has one stone sitting a hundredth of a millimetre proud, and once seen it cannot be unseen.
Rose gold is gold alloyed with copper, and copper absorbs hard below 600 nanometres. That is the whole of the colour — no dye, no plating, and no fading, because there is nothing on the surface to wear off.
