The short version
This site collects what you type into the enquiry form and nothing else about you. There is no advertising network on it, no third-party analytics script, and no data is sold or shared with anybody for marketing.
The enquiry form
When you send an enquiry we receive the name, email address, preferred date and message you entered, together with the date and time of the submission. We use them to answer you and, if the conversation becomes a commission, to keep a record of the work.
Enquiries that do not become commissions are deleted after twenty-four months. Records relating to a completed piece are kept indefinitely, because a client who returns in 2050 with a ring made in 2026 should be able to be told who made it, from what stone, and to what drawing.
Cookies and local storage
The site sets no tracking cookies. WordPress sets a session cookie if you log in to the administration area, which applies to the maison’s own staff and not to visitors.
One thing is stored in your browser’s local storage: the screen calibration figure — the number of pixels per millimetre on your display — set when you match the on-screen rectangle to a bank card. It is a single number, it never leaves your device, it is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Server logs
The web server records requests, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostics. Those logs are rotated and discarded after thirty days.
Photographs of your commission
We photograph what we make. Nothing made to a private commission is published anywhere — including on this site — without written permission, and permission can be withdrawn at any time, after which the images are removed.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it erased where we are not obliged to keep it. Write to the address in the footer and we will answer within one month.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will say so on this page with the date of the change, rather than replacing it silently.
